Optical Diagnostics in Dermatology
Optical diagnostics have transformed dermatology by enabling non-invasive, real-time, and precise evaluation of skin conditions. These technologies, which include dermoscopy, reflectance confocal microscopy (RCM), optical coherence tomography (OCT), and Raman spectroscopy, offer significant advantages over traditional biopsy methods. This paper explores the principles, applications, and future directions of optical diagnostics in dermatology, emphasizing their role in early detection, treatment monitoring, and personalized skincare.
