The Blockchain Sharding Model to Improve the Efficiency of a Global-Coffee Supply Chain System Based on Blockchain Technology
Several coffee brands have sold their products to various countries. On the other hand, customers who consume coffee have the right to know the authenticity of the coffee they buy. Several studies use blockchain technology to provide transparent information about the coffee consumed by customers. However, the large number of parties involved in the coffee supply chain has an impact on the inefficiency of applying blockchain technology to the coffee supply chain on a global scale. The research uses a qualitative approach through a literature review to study phenomena and problems in the coffee supply chain and offer blockchain sharding concepts. Literature reviews are also used to study previous research on blockchain technology models in the coffee supply chain. The research results are a blockchain sharding adoption model to increase the efficiency of implementing blockchain technology in the coffee supply chain and simulation with Hyperledger.
