25 Gbit/s Transmission over 25 km Optical Fiber with Adaptive Optical Tracking in Fiber-Free-Space-Optical-Communication (FSOC) Network
We propose and demonstrate a 2S-Gbit/s fiber and free-space-optical-communication (FSOC) system with adaptive optical tracking and stabilization. The adaptive optical system consists of a fast-steering-mirror (FSM) and quadrant-photodiode (QPD). Experimental results show that the proposed network can achieve a bit-error-rate (BER) of 1 × 10–9, effectively improving the field-of-view (FOV) and stability.
