In-line Fresnel incoherent digital holography with less unnecessary signals
Incoherent digital holography is a technology that can acquire 3D information from incoherent objects. Since it does not require a laser, incoherent digital holography enables speckle-free imaging with a relatively small and lowcost optical setup. However, like conventional holography, it suffers from the twin-image problem. Additionally, when imaging objects with multiple colors or at varying distances, it becomes difficult to distinguish between color and distance due to the nature of incoherent holography. In this paper, we introduce the use of a dual-focus checkerboard lens and dual cameras to address these issues.
