SPRACHMITTELNDE AKTIVITÄTEN/MEDIATION IM FREMDSPRACHENUNTERRICHT. ÜBERLEGUNGEN AUS DER UNTERRICHTSPRAXIS
Since 2018, when the Companion Volume of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages was published, language mediation has once again moved into the spotlight of foreign language didactics. The goal of this paper is to provide a conscious reflection of action in teaching practice regarding language-mediating activities. The analysis shows, on the one hand, that most students are not familiar with the concept of mediation, but on the other hand they have a positive attitude towards it. Both the quantitative and qualitative analyses provide important insights for the practice of teaching German as a foreign language.
