Una paralisi del nervo facciale che ricorre
The paper describes the case of a 16-month-old girl with suspected neurofibromatosis I who was evaluated for recurrent episodes of peripheral facial nerve palsy and severe hypertension (160/110 mmHg). Tests revealed bilateral renal artery stenosis, treated with stenting and antihypertensive therapy. The case highlights that recurrent facial nerve palsy warrants detailed investigations, including blood pressure monitoring, as hypertension can be an underlying cause.
