Una trombocitopenia associata alla scabbia in un neonato: caso clinico e revisione della letteratura
The paper presents the case of a 1-month-old infant with persistent skin lesions who was diagnosed with scabies after initial ineffective treatments. The condition was linked to thrombocytopenia and anaemia, which resolved following dermatologic therapy. The case highlights the need to consider scabies in neonates with atypical skin manifestations and its possible hematologic complications. Timely management and coordinated treatment of contacts are essential to prevent recurrences and complications.
