On Families with Union Restrictions
Let π, π , π£ be positive integers and F β 2 [π] . Suppose that the union of any π sets of F has size at most π π£ and π β₯ 2 π +3 π£. The main result implies the best possible bound . For π β€ (2 π β π β 1)π£ the same statement is no longer true. Several statements of a similar flavor are established as well, providing further evidence for an old conjecture of the first author.
