Dinamika Kekerasan dalam Rumah Tangga: Studi Kasus Polwan Bakar Suami

This study examines the case of a female police officer who set her husband on fire, resulting in his death, with a focus on the dynamics of domestic violence (DV) and its legal implications. The research method used is a qualitative approach with a case study design, including legal document analysis, interviews with experts, and literature review. The findings indicate that the actions may be subject to articles in the Indonesian Criminal Code (KUHP), such as Article 338 on manslaughter and Article 340 on premeditated murder, depending on the intent and context of the perpetrator. In addition, the Law on the Elimination of Domestic Violence (UU PKDRT) is also relevant in analyzing previous patterns of violence. Values in the Qur'an and principles of Islamic jurisprudence, such as the prohibition against killing and the principle of "la dharar wa la dirar" (no harm and no reciprocating harm), emphasize the importance of protecting life. The study concludes that there is a need to raise legal awareness and provide support for victims of domestic violence, as well as implement effective preventive measures to create a safe family environment. These findings are expected to contribute to efforts in ensuring fair law enforcement and the protection of human rights.
