Distribution of Se in Se-rich Stagnic Anthrosols of Hainan Island

Abstract The continuous decrease in soil pH in Hainan has become a limiting factor for Se uptake by rice in Se rich areas due to the decrease in soil Se availability caused by soil acidification in stagnic anthrosols. Analyze the basic soil properties, chemical composition, and Se content of stagnic anthrosols in Hainan’s Se-rich area, in response to the phenomenon of continuous and slow acidification of stagnic anthrosols. The main research results show that the soil pH in the Se-rich areas of Hainan is generally acidic, with an average soil pH of 5.0. The Se content in the stagnic anthrosols is 0.373 mg/kg. The spatial distribution range of Se content in the stagnic anthrosols in the area is wide, and the selenium content at different layers is significantly correlated.
