Liquid forms of morphine in the pharmacotherapy of pain, why are they so important in rational analgesia
Morphine is one of the opioid analgesics used in the pharmacotherapy of pain. The optimal route of administration is oral. However, for it to be effective, appropriate oral forms of the drugs must be available. One of such forms are liquid forms, which, due to their pharmacokinetic profile, provide effective and safe analgesia. The paper discusses the arguments forthe use of liquid forms of morphine in pain therapy.
