Selection of the composition of the initial charge during the rolling melting of the mineral melt

To obtain a melt of the required composition, the chemical composition of the available raw materials is pre-determined experimentally or according to reference books. Using data from derivatographic studies and calculated melt compositions at the required acidity modulus, patterns of changes in melting temperatures and crystallization of charge materials, viscosity of the resulting melt and its fusibility are established. The selection of the charge composition ends with the compilation of the material and thermal balances of the melting unit. Ill. 1. Ref. 9.
