A Guideline of Security and Privacy Improvement for Promoting a Thai Government E-service Digital Trust

This study investigated approaches to enhance the security and privacy of e-government services in Thailand to foster digital trust. It employed data collected from open-ended questionnaires administered to 16 experts with experience in information security, personal data protection, or information technology in Thailand. The aim was to acquire in-depth insights and recommendations. Findings revealed that digital trust in e-government services was at a moderate level. The majority of respondents expressed concerns about personal data breaches. They suggested that strengthening the security of government digital infrastructure, such as implementing multi-factor authentication and additional measures to prevent and detect personal data breach and leakage, could substantially increase digital trust in e-government services.
