Design and Investigation of Two Port Circularly Polarized Microstrip Array Antenna with High Gain and Pattern Diversity Features
A two port microstrip array antenna is analyzed and organized in this article. Some of the unique features of designed antenna are: (a) loading of stair slot with unequal arm length on patch provides circular polarization features in between 10.35-10.55 GHz; (b) 1*2 array structure improves the gain level to 12.0 dBi; (c) mirror image of stair slot improves the isolation level to more than 25 dB; and (d) PEC wall in between the antenna port tilts the radiation pattern by ±300, which improves the far-field MIMO parameters. The designed radiators impedance matchning can be enhanceed by using a defected ground structure (DGS). At 10.21-10.65 GHz, the radiator that was designed works with the help pf HFSS and CST-MWS. For X-band applications, the antenna designed has a directive radiation pattern and good diversity value.
