Investigation on the Design of LP-NGD Analog System with RL-Network
A design method of analog system operating as low-pass (LP) negative group delay (NGD) function is studied. The LP-NGD topology is designed with RL-network active circuit. The design equations are formulated in function of targeted LP-NGD specifications as time-advance and NGD cutoff frequency. The LP-NGD design feasibility is verified with a proof-of-concept (PoC) simulated in the LTSpice® environment. Verification results in both frequency- and time-domain confirming the LP-NGD signature were obtained. The PoC frequency analysis up to 12 kHz shows the NGD value at very low frequency. The transient result is verified with arbitrary wave signal generating -50 μs time-advance. The LPNGD circuit future potential application to correct electronic system signal distortion is discussed.
