Comparative Study of PEC Half-Plane Diffraction Between CST and UTD
UTD is an advanced extension of GO and GTD. This method is widely used because of its efficiency in analyzing EM waves, unlike traditional numerical methods, due to its ability to account for the physical properties of EM waves based on local geometrical points. However, UTD research in the past does not show all polarized component results compared with exact numerical solutions for cases of oblique incidence due to the complexity of modeling semi-infinite structures. This paper demonstrates how to simulate EM waves for semi-infinite structures using CST Studio Suite and compares them with UTD results. This approach aims to provide a method for generating reference numerical results, supporting future UTD research, and enhancing the reliability of UTD in practical applications.
