Optimization of Industrial Process Assembly Using Taguchi Method
The use of dissimilar welding has garnered special attention in embedded systems such as aircraft and automobile manufacturing, power plant construction, and connecting various parts of industrial machinery. The application of dissimilar welding allows for the creation of reliable mechanical joints while reducing costs and assembly time. In this study, the impact of TIG welding parameters on the properties of welds in mechanical joints was evaluated using the Taguchi L9 experimental design method, which enables process parameter optimization with fewer experiments. These analyses aim to optimize the factors of dissimilar welding and establish a mathematical relationship between these factors and the mechanical properties of the dissimilar welds. The results showed that welding speed is the most influential TIG welding parameter on the properties of dissimilar welds Steel-copper. By adjusting speed (0.40 mm/s), current (95 A), and gas (12 l/min), it is possible to modify the metallurgical and mechanical properties of the welded joints, thereby improving the performance and reliability of the welds.
