Multiaperture electro-optical detection technology and influencing factor analysis of detection capability
Improving the sensitivity of the optical detection system is of great significance for the search, discovery, and positioning of dim targets such as space debris. This paper introduces the principle of a high-sensitivity multi-apertureoptical detection technology. When implementing an actual system, the inconsistency of sub-apertures is a major factor affecting the optical detection capability. Based on the establishment of a multi-aperture detection capability model, the impact of sub-aperture inconsistency errors on detection capability is analyzed, and data simulation analysis is performed. The results show that theoretically, the signal-to-noise ratio of N sub-apertures can be enhanced by a factor of √N compared to a single aperture. When there is inconsistency in energy spot diffusion and registration errors between sub-apertures, both affect the enhancement factor of the signal-to-noise ratio. To maximize system capability, it is necessary to strictly control the inconsistency and registration errors of sub-apertures in engineering implementation.
