Free space B92 quantum key distribution analysis under different atmospheric conditions

A free space B92 QKD system is analyzed under fog, haze and clear atmospheric conditions. With a receiver’s DCR of 1 kcps, the maximum link lengths for fog, haze and clear atmospheric conditions are 0.9 km, 1.8 km and 2.9 km, respectively. Because all simulation data comes from commercial products, a practical QKD system working the whole day can be expected.
