Improving Metadata Quality in Social Network Classification Systems
Objective: To apply quality methodology to metadata used in web object indexing systems that use the practice of tagging posts on social networks. Theoretical Framework: This topic presents the main concepts and theories that underpin the research, such as the quality control method and the evolution of its model. Method: The research was developed in three stages, consisting of field research, requirements gathering, and application of the QFD quality model. Results and Discussion: The results obtained demonstrated that it is feasible to implement metadata control. When applied to QFD (Quality Function Deployment), these results provide a solid basis for making informed decisions about the selection of more effective metadata. Research Implications: The research requires the application of folksonomy as a subsystem as a requirement, being a possible model for use in metadata filtering. Originality/Value: This study contributes to the use of metadata with better quality for systems that use folksonomy, especially in metadata classification, where a quality control system is lacking.
