Eco-Theology within the Romanian Context: A Social-Ethical Approach
Abstract The Romanian Orthodox Church ( ROC ) seems to be institutionally disconnected from the urgency of climate change. The aim of this paper is to identify the parameters of the gap between secular discourse and eco-theological reflection within the Romanian context, and to interrogate these instances of disconnection. The paper will also attempt to bridge the gap between ecclesial, academic, and secular discourses on climate change from the perspective of social ethics.
