Taxonomic morphometry of Juniperus phoenicea L. (Cupressaceae) from the coast of the Tlemcen region (western Algeria)

The current study's objectives were to identify the subspecies of Juniperus phoenicea and conduct a morphometric comparison of 10 Juniperus phoenicea individuals found along the Tlemcen region's shoreline. First, we tallied how many seeds were present in 20 fruits from each particular species (in total 200 fruits). Measurements will be made for the second study's height, diameter, and circumference of the tree. The sheet's dimensions, as well as the berries' size and color. These data were statistically processed using statistical tools. The black size and color of the ripe fruits, which are frequently upright and found on the Mediterranean shore in dunes and stabilized rocks, were studied for all of the individuals (representing Juniperus phoenicea subsp. turbinata L.) based on the number of galbules, which ranges from (3-7). less dense port, which is frequently dug in the middle (in the trash). while demonstrating the phoenicea subspecies' absence and the existence of the turbinata subspecies. We were successful in eradicating the species' identifying characteristics, geographic distribution, and systematics along the coast of the Tlemcen region (Juniperus phoenicea L.subsp phoenicea).
