LEVANTAMENTO DE SEIO MAXILAR POTENCIALIZADO COM PRF

Introduction: The knowledge of the anatomy of the maxillary sinus is the first step to implement the technique, Platelet-Rich Fibrin (PRF) is a matrix that enhances bone regeneration (CHOUKROUN, 2006) which occurs by increasing the concentration of growth factors. Objective: to analyze the use of PRF as a resource that enhances the procedure for lifting the maxillary sinus. Methodology: integrative literature review conducted through a search in scientific databases PubMed, LILACs, Academic Google and Scielo, having as inclusion criteria studies published between the years 2015 to 2020 and for exclusion, articles in review formats, reviews, were discarded. dissertations, monographs, theses and abstracts in annals of events, referent and thematic studies were listed. Results: the findings of this study suggest that the PRF membrane may be a viable method for repairing the perforated sinus. As it is an autogenous technique, it reduces the risks of contamination, the PRF presents growth factors that promote bone and tissue regeneration, being able to minimize risk in maxillary sinus procedures with excellent short-term results. Conclusion: The realization of randomized clinical studies can expand the possibilities of using PRF as a resource that enhances the procedure for lifting the maxillary sinus.
