REABILITAÇÃO TOTAL DO ARCO SUPERIOR UTILIZANDO ASSOCIAÇÃO DE FLUXO DIGITAL E ANALÓGICO: RELATO DE CASO CLÍNICO
With the advancement of dental technologies and techniques, patients have become increasingly demanding in their search for treatments that offer greater predictability, especially when they are in the terminal phase of dentition. In this phase, the loss of all teeth is often inevitable, frequently as a consequence of severe conditions such as advanced chronic periodontitis. This clinical scenario imposes on the professional the difficult decision to proceed with the total extraction of teeth, a crucial step to ensure the preservation and optimal use of the remaining bone. The main objective of this approach is to provide an adequate bone base for the placement of dental implants, ensuring the stability and longevity of the subsequent prosthetic rehabilitation. Furthermore, anticipating possible complications and developing a personalized treatment plan are fundamental to optimizing outcomes and meeting the expectations of patients who seek not only functionality but also aesthetics and quality of life. This clinical case report aims to describe the use of a digital workflow through the acquisition of DICOM files (Digital Imaging and Communications in Medicine) obtained through computed tomography (CT), digital planning software, and three-dimensional model files (STL, PLY, and others), combined with the planning of an analog multifunctional guide to achieve high-quality rehabilitations in these types of patients.
