The article analyzes the methods for assessing the effectiveness of state programs to support small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), proposed by domestic researchers, highlight their advantages and disadvantages.The authors have selected assessment indicators that allow, in their opinion, to reliably assess the effect of financial support for entrepreneurship in the region.The technique has been tested on the example of small and medium-sized businesses in the Magadan region.
