Recent trends in using artificial intelligence tools for competition law enforcement

The paper aims to present the AI methods used by the national competition authorities in the current days.It also highlights the effectiveness of the new tools in detecting competition law infringement cases and, respectively, in increasing the authorities' performance and the competition law enforcement.Despite the importance of adapting to the recent economic changes and to AI tools, after the literature review, the paper also mentions the failings and the limits of these advanced methods.Due to the lack of experience in the competition field, the AI methods may generate competitive issues, so for the beginning, it would be probably recommended a hybrid way to implement these new methods.
