Liquid Phase Electron Microscopy of Bacterial Ultrastructure (Small 50/2024)
Bacterial Ultrastructure In article number 2402871, Brian J. Caffrey, Judy S. Kim, and co-workers present a method for liquid phase electron microscopy of biological specimens. By harnessing the power of scanning transmission electron microscopy and energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy methods, in combination with graphene encapsulation techniques, they generated high resolution insights into the ultrastructure and elemental distribution in D.radiodurans, a radiation resistant bacteria, at room temperature.
