BARRIERS TO THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE LIVESTOCK SECTOR OF AGRICULTURAL ORGANIZATIONS IN KRASNODAR REGION
The state and prospects for the development of the livestock industry of agricultural organizations affect the food security of the region and the country. The main production indicators of the livestock industry of agricultural organizations of the Krasnodar Territory for 2019-2023 are presented and the reasons for their dynamics are analyzed. The composition of the livestock industry of the region and its place in the production of livestock products in the Russian Federation are given. The main barriers to the development of the livestock industry of agricultural organizations of the Krasnodar Territory are identified: a decrease in the number of enterprises in the industry due to the consequences of the pandemic, an outbreak of African swine fever, sanctions, low growth rates of volumes and quality of products, a relatively low level of profitability of livestock farming, a low level of investment attractiveness of the agricultural sector, insufficient level of state support for the industry for the production of domestic dietary supplements, premixes and vitamins and the development of embryo transfer technologies, the use of outdated production technologies, a shortage of financial resources and qualified personnel. Possible directions for overcoming barriers to the development of the livestock industry in agricultural organizations of the Krasnodar Territory are formulated: the use of government support measures, scientifically based approaches and technologies for organizing production, the search for reserves for reducing costs and the use of marketing tools.
