Theoretical justification of the use of statically indeterminate calculation schemes for the analysis of the operation of radial-thrust single-row ball bearings installed back-to-back
A new model of operation of single-row radial-thrust ball bearings under load, consisting of five statically indeterminate calculation schemes, is proposed. It is shown that the bearings experience greater loading than previously thought. Therefore, even with a rational design of the unit, the actual service life of the bearing may be 75,42—26663,9 times lower than the service life calculated by the traditional method. It is shown that with a certain external radial force, the locking lug of the outer ring of the bearing can open, which is equivalent to its failure.
