THE DATABASE OF THE FSBSI CSAL «AGRICULTURAL EXHIBITIONS»: STATUS AND USE

Electronic resources are now an integral part of the activities of libraries at all levels, and their availability is a mandatory factor in improving the quality of services provided. The effectiveness of the organization of modern library services largely depends on the knowledge of the needs of users of a particular library by specialists. To assess the demand for the database “Agricultural exhibitions”, a monitoring of the use of a digital resource based on the web traffic of CSAL users was carried out. During the monitoring process, information on the quantitative and specific composition of the database and user demand was collected and analyzed. The method of statistical information analysis was used to analyze empirical data. Main results: the study observes the positive dynamics of the growth of the database content. At the same time, monitoring showed a decrease in user demand for the resource. Assumptions have been made about the reason for decreasing requests. Recommendations for improving the situation are offered.
