A scenario-based synchronization framework for construction logistics scheduling in urban areas
A method that boosts the effectiveness of construction logistics is logistics scheduling for on-site and off-site construction in a hybrid paradigm. Inspired by the telecommunications routing system, a two-stage scheduling model with LAN (local area network) and WAN (wide area network) logistics scheduling is proposed. The WAN logistics scheduling focuses on the coordination of cross-city logistics. And the LAN logistic scheduling focuses on logistics in urban areas. A four-step LAN logistics scheduling method is designed, containing: arrival schedule, schedule modification, LAN logistics schedule, and schedule confirmation. A case study is conducted with a BIM-GIS-based residential construction model to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed logistic scheduling problem.
