Understanding the electric vehicle gender gap
The transport sector is one of the most important sources of energy consumption and greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. Therefore, Electric Vehicles (EVs) has received increasing attention in the mobility sector. However, the impact of gender differentiation on the development of the EV industry has not been clearly reflected in the premise that EVs have a great potential for development, and the discussion on the gendering of EVs is still limited. Therefore, there is a need for a more comprehensive and accurate analysis of gender differences in EVs, which would be conducive to further understanding female drivers' perceptions of EVs. The purpose of this work is to explore the gender differences in the EV industry and to provide feedback on women's experiences with EVs and related infrastructure. It is expected that this study will not only provide insights into how gender differences exist in the EV industry and how they affect women, but also how to improve the design of EVs and the safety of public charging stations.
