Preface

The 2024 International Conference on Applied Sciences and Material Applications (ICASMA 2024) joined with the International Conference on Innovation in Education, Science and Culture (ICIESC 2024) presents five distinguished keynote speakers including Prof. Dr. Syawal Gultom, M.Pd. ( Chairman of the Senate of Universitas Negeri Medan ), Prof. Ir. Dr. Sulaiman Wadi Harun (Head of Department Electrical Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Universiti Malaya, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia), Prof. Dr. Tosawat Seetawan (Director CEAE Sakon Nakhon Rajabhat University –Thailand), Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sonja Kuzich (Director of Learning and Teaching, School of Education Faculty of Humanities, Curtin University) and five invited speakers Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kerista Tarigan, M.Eng.,Sc (Chief of PSI North Sumatra), Dr. Izziah, M.Sc (Engineering Faculty, Universitas Syiah Kuala), Dr. Solihatul Hamidah Daulay, M.Hum (Linguistic Faculty, Universitas Islam Negeri Sumatera Utara), Dr. Ida Liana Tanjung, M.Hum (Head of Center for Cultural and Tourism Studies of LPPM Hasanuddin University), Grasianto, Ph.D. (Department of Chemistry, Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember, Surabaya, Indonesia). In addition, presenters come from various Government and Private Universities, Institutions, Academy, and Schools. In the spirit of unity and collaboration, we have gathered here from various corners of the world, representing diverse fields of expertise and backgrounds. This conference is a testament to our shared commitment to advancing knowledge, fostering innovation, and addressing the pressing challenges of our time on Applied Science and Material Application. Our theme for this conference, “Synergies in Interdisciplinary Research: Bridging Education, Science, Culture, and Material Applications for Sustainable Development,” could not be more relevant. It serves as a beacon guiding us through the sea of information and ideas that we will navigate over the next few days. It reminds us that, in an ever-changing world, we must come together to explore new horizons and chart a course toward a better future. There are 75 papers received by the committee which are presented orally in parallel sessions. The articles have been peer reviewed by reviewers and decided by editor. Moreover, 43 of them have been submitted to the publisher and 29 papers are decided to be published on Journal of Physics: Conference Series (JPCS) that indexed by scopus. We hope that the scientific attitude and skills through research will promote the committee and Physical Society of Indonesia (PSI) to be a well-known organization which persists to be developed and excelled in the future.
