Aerodynamic design and analysis of a two-stage high pressure turbine with large flow coefficient
This paper changes the design method of the traditional turbine and improves the flow coefficient of the turbine, so as to improve the output thrust and power. A 2-stage high pressure turbine was designed and analysed in this study. When the expansion ratio is 3.42, the first-stage flow coefficient is 0.67, and the second-stage flow coefficient reaches 0.76. The adiabatic efficiency of the turbine is 91.85 %. The detailed design process and aerodynamic performance are introduced and analysed in this paper. Compared with the conventional turbine, the loading form of the large flow coefficient turbine has changed, from the post-loaded form to the front-loaded. This change makes the secondary flow in the end zone increase in a certain extent. This study improves the turbine flow coefficient while ensuring the efficiency of the turbine, and provides a corresponding reference for the design of the turbine with large flow coefficient.
