The digital age, without using computers
Some economic theories support the use of technology as a source of economic growth. The objective was to perform an analysis of people who do not use computers in Mexico, associating their gender, area of residence, age, education and socioeconomic status. The research was descriptive, and a cluster analysis was performed using an unsupervised analysis method with a sample size of 27,923 people. It was found that the Rural Group of People do not use the computer because they do not know how to use it and because of a lack of economic resources, in addition to having a lower educational level and younger age. It is concluded that the government should focus public policies on favoring these groups in rural communities and consider urban groups of men who do not use the computer because they are not interested in using it and do not have access to it. Likewise, at the country level there is a digital gender gap.
