Analysis of Radio Wave Propagation Characteristics in Fog Environment
With the advancement of science and technology, radio wave technology assumes a crucial role in all walks of life. When fog emerges, coupled with factors such as atmospheric absorption, the propagation attenuation of radio waves becomes even more severe. Hence, analyzing the propagation characteristics of radio waves in a fog environment is an important topic. By introducing parabolic equations to calculate the propagation loss of radio waves in the fog environment and considering atmospheric factors like oxygen and water content, the equivalent dielectric constant of the fog is computed using the Maxwell-Garnett formula. By setting antennas of different frequencies, the results indicate that the difference in propagation loss of low-frequency radio waves in the heavy fog environment and the standard atmosphere environment is greater than that of high-frequency radio waves. The analysis of radio wave propagation characteristics in a heavy fog environment can provide technical support and numerical references for the future radio wave propagation model in complex environments.
