Off-site and On-site Smart Feeding, Monitoring and Control System Designed for Commercial Tilapia Fishponds

This Aquaculture is a steady food source that replenishes aquatic species. To ensure the health of the fish in aquaculture operations, ensuring the quality of the water is paramount. Overfeeding and underfeeding have adverse effects directly on the fish and the water. Tilapia is a staple fish in the context of the Philippines and different fishes have different optimal growth parameters. Additionally, few studies are attempting to develop a complete fishpond automation system. Due to these, a complete system capable of automated feeding and water monitoring and adjustment for commercial Tilapia fishponds was developed. An on-site and off-site interface, a backup power supply, and several other features were also developed to enhance the prototype's functionality in a real-world environment, particularly in commercial fishponds. The ESP-NOW protocol provided close to real-time monitoring, demonstrating its usage in a fishpond setting. Each prototype's functionality was tested to ensure its accuracy and practical functionality for commercial Tilapia fishponds.
