Self start stop control decision of milling system based on ICS platform
The current problem with frequent start-stop operations in the pulverizing system of thermal power units during load changes involves subjective decision-making, heavy manual workload, and complex start-stop sequences. This article presents a self-start-stop control strategy for the pulverizing system based on the ICS platform, comprising an autonomous decision module and a self-start-stop control optimization module. In the autonomous decision module, a safety-introduced grid load plan command signal is used as input, and a closed-loop control system for pulverizing system start-stop decisions is developed based on the Actor-Critic framework. In the self-start-stop control optimization module, the start-stop sequence of coal mills is optimized to achieve unmanned intervention throughout the entire process of preheating, starting, operation, and stopping of the pulverizing system. This strategy enables autonomous decision-making and self-start-stop control of the pulverizing system during load changes and has been successfully applied to practical units with good control performance.
