Design of Data Encryption and Decryption IP Core Based on SATA Host Transport Layer
As data storage and information leakage issues become increasingly severe, hard drives face various potential security threats. To address the urgent need for secure data transmission and encryption protection, this paper, based on the SATA III protocol and information security technology, innovatively proposes an encryption/decryption IP core design for the SATA host-end transmission layer. By analyzing the SATA data structure and process, the layout of the host-end transmission layer is optimized, incorporating an encryption/decryption IP core compatible with the SM4 algorithm to ensure data security during transmission and storage in SATA devices. Using Verdi tools and a UVM-based verification environment for simulation testing and analysis, the proposed solution controls delay within 0.00008ms, demonstrating the feasibility and excellent performance of integrating encryption/decryption modules in the host-end transmission layer.
