Power Regulation on PV and Grid With Monitoring Load Power in Residential
The need for electrical energy for residential is increasing with the increasing loads used. Apart from that, changes in the load used also affect the stability of electricity sources from photovoltaics (PV) and utility grids. Therefore, a monitoring system is needed which aims to regulate the availability of electrical energy sources and the use of loads in residential. The method used is to observe the potential of solar energy in Candisari, Semarang, Indonesia. Apart from that, he also designs logic controllers for regulating PV energy, batteries and utility grids. To build this system, 10 PV 100 Wp, 1500 Ah batteries, SCC 150 A are needed. The research results show that the electrical energy consumption used in one day is 2,796 kWh, so that in one month the average electrical energy consumption is 83.88 kWh, while PV energy production is 3,473 kWh. Load energy can be served using PV energy and batteries. Apart from that, the logic controller is able to regulate the alternation of PV and battery energy flows, while the grid energy source is only a backup and is used when the PV source or battery is disconnected.
