IoT-Based Architecture for Real-Time Measurement and Monitoring of Industrial Parameters

Efficient management and monitoring of parameters such as energy consumption, temperature, and production in industrial applications are crucial for optimizing operations, reducing costs, and minimizing environmental impact. This paper presents an IoT architecture for measuring industrial parameters, especially electrical parameters, by integrating hardware infrastructure and a cloud-based architecture. The solution includes developing an energy measurement device connected to the internet, allowing real-time data acquisition, processing, and transmission to the cloud. The cloud architecture processes, stores, and provides a visualization of the collected data, facilitating detailed analysis. A case in an industrial plant with polymer injection molding machines demonstrated the effectiveness of the proposed architecture, making it possible to identify the consumption pattern of the analyzed equipment and inefficiencies in the production process.
