Digital Triplet Based Control, Monitoring and Maintenance of DC/DC Converters
The control, monitoring, and maintenance of DC/DC converters remain enduring and valuable topics in power electronics. As an emerging and powerful technique, digital twin (DT) has provided new solutions with a virtual replica of a physical DC/DC converter. However, the traditional DT framework becomes overstretched when faced with different problems of control, monitoring, and maintenance. Thus, this paper proposes a digital triplet (D-Tri) structure to enhance the control, monitoring, and maintenance of DC/DC converters. The D-Tri framework establishes a parallel DC/DC converter between the physical and digital DC/DC converter. The proposed D-Tri structure can contribute to controllability improvement, proactive monitoring, and predictive maintenance. With further application and development, D-Tri can provide merit for application ideas and schemes in different application fields.
