Advances in Narrowband and Broadband Detection Applications of Perovskite Photodetectors
With the rapid development of perovskite materials in the field of photovoltaic cells, their excellent semiconductor properties and unique optoelectronic characteristics have attracted the attention of the entire optoelectronic field. In the realm of photodetectors, perovskites exhibit outstanding optoelectronic performance across a wide spectral range and demonstrate exceptional performance in narrowband detection when used as an active layer. This paper primarily introduces the development and application of perovskite photodetectors in both broadband and narrowband fields. In narrowband detection, high sensitivity at specific wavelengths can be achieved through charge collection narrowing (CCN) strategies and other optimization methods such as trap states assistance, charge separation reversion, and electro-shielding layers. In broadband detection, hybrid device structures and dimension regulation, such as the use of mixed heterojunctions and nanomaterials, can broaden the spectral response range and optimize stability. Finally, potential future development directions for improving stability and optimizing performance of perovskite photodetectors is perspectived, showcasing their potential in the optoelectronic field and providing suggestions and directions for further research.
