Performance Analysis of Printable Perovskite Modules Based on Electroluminescence Technology

Printable hole-conductor-free mesoscopic perovskite solar cells (PSCs) possess the advantageous features of low cost, high operational stability, and a simple fabrication process. They are considered excellent candidates for producing cost-effective PSCs modules, which may lead to their commercialization. Nevertheless, the power conversion efficiency (PCE) of the printable PSCs modules is brutal to significantly improve due to the lack of understanding of the dripping filling behavior of perovskite precursor solution in large-scale modules. In this paper, the electroluminescence (EL) imaging technology was used to investigate the infiltration behavior of perovskite materials in the mesoporous layers, and it was found that the uniformity and integrity of perovskite material can be improved by double-side drop-casting. Meanwhile, the performance of the printable PSC modules was characterized by I-V curve testing. It shows that the more uniform the bright distribution of the EL image, the better the photoelectric conversion performance of the printable perovskite devices. These results demonstrate that EL detection is a powerful and field-capable characterization technique for assessing the performance of printable PSCs modules.
