Towards an Intelligent Model for Knowledge Management in Translation Teaching and Learning
While knowledge management (KM) has been widely recognized as a vital tool in the business world, it is only recently that KM has been applied in education, fostered by the promotion of Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs). And the emergence of ChatGPT, which can be seen as a concrete outcome of knowledge management, enhances the increasing attention of the significance of KM in education. Hence the paper aims to explore the interplay between KM and the field of translation education, with a focus on both teaching and learning aspects with the help of information and technology. It examines how the principles and practices of KM can be effectively integrated into translation pedagogy to push upthe learning process for students and to refine the instructional strategies utilized by academic faculty. The research also aims to evaluate the effectiveness of KM as a supportive tool within these educational contexts. By introducing integration and the impact of KM, the paper contributes to a broader understanding of how KM can be harnessed to improve translation teaching and learning outcomes with the aid of technologies.
