Existence of similarity profiles for diffusion equations and systems

Abstract We study the existence of similarity profiles for diffusion equations and reaction diffusion systems on the real line, where the different nontrivial limits are imposed for $$ x \rightarrow -\infty $$ x → - ∞ and $$x \rightarrow +\infty $$ x → + ∞ .
