Intervention Study on the Red-Light Running Behavior of Bus Drivers Based on Extended Theory of Planned Behavior
The paper implements the intervention study on the red-light running behavior of bus drivers and tests the intervention effect through comparative analysis. Seventy-six drivers were selected as the intervention group and the control group for the pre-test and post-test. The intervention content includes explaining Road Traffic Safety Law and Enforcement Regulations of China based on all dimensions of TPB theory and playing videos to demonstrate the dangers of red-light running and how to prevent the red-light running behavior from happening. The intervention was mainly through face-to-face training and the distribution of intervention pamphlets. After the intervention, post-test was conducted to validate the intervention. The results showed that the post-test scores of the intervention group were significantly lower than those of the control group, which means the intervention of bus drivers has been effective.
