Research on Optimizing Mega-Airport Transport Hub Spatial Layout Based on Passenger Transfer Convenience

In this paper, a transport hub space layout optimization scheme is proposed for mega-airports based on the convenience of passenger transfer, where mega-airports refer to airports with a throughput of over 30 million. Passenger transfer convenience is mainly quantified by accessibility, timeliness, and interference in the optimization model. On the premise that the layout of the candidate site of the hub is known, based on the area required by different types of transportation modes, the model is optimized with the objective of maximizing the passenger transfer convenience, and the initial plan of qualitative analysis is compared with the optimized plan. After comparative analysis, the optimized plan has improved in each analysis index compared with the initial plan, and the passenger transfer convenience has increased by 62.3%, indicating that the method has practical value in the layout optimization.
