Research on Transfer Time of the High-Speed Railway Hub Station for Comprehensive Traffic Allocation

Studying the transfer time of passengers within the high-speed railway hub station is of great significance for allocating the passenger flow rationally and travelling efficiently in the comprehensive transportation network. This paper aims to establish the calculation model for the transfer time of passengers at the high-speed railway hub station based on the analysis of the factors affecting the passengers’ transfer time. The calculation model is divided into three parts: the walking time calculation model considers the characteristics of pedestrian flow within the station based on the BPR function, and both the queuing time and the waiting time calculation model consider the influence of train schedule on the arrival distribution of passenger flow. The parameters of models were calibrated, and the results of queuing time and waiting were calculated based on the field survey data of Chengdu East Station during non-holiday peak hours.
