Research on Intelligent Connected HMI Test System Based on Driving Simulator
With the development of computer technology and automotive industry, Human–Machine Interface (HMI) has gradually become the focus of research. This study aimed to explore an HMI usability testing system based on a driving simulator, to construct a driving simulation-based HMI testing technology. Firstly, the new demands and research status of HMI usability testing in the Intelligent Connected environment were analysed, the existing problems of HMI design were reviewed, and the guidelines of HMI design were summarized. Taking the hardware and software platforms as the starting point, how to build a human factors simulation environment for HMI testing was discussed. Taking “Evaluation of HMI takeover warning utility in different risk environments” as an example, the process of HMI test method was elaborated, and a comprehensive evaluation system was put forward from physical, physiological, and subjective aspects. Finally, a set of HMI usability test system based on driving simulator was constructed, to produce certain inspiration for HMI test methods.
